CZRYING
My mom texted me from upstairs asking wtf I laughed so loud for XD
Beside the “under his hat” part, I like this. And even if I’ve only watched 3 episodes, I find it pretty good. The sub-titles are pretty accurate; even if I’m French-Canadian, I kind of need the subs to understand the French of France words and expressions they use. xD;
Game: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Song: Title Screen
The Google Doodle today is a playable Moog synth. It’s badass. Play with it here…probably until tomorrow (ha).
Coolest thing I’ve seen all week. Go ahead, play it.
Oh my gosh I WANT ONE
So. I’m going to Anime North for the first time (eeeee!) and my friends thought of cosplaying as a group, and we’re to be MLP:FiM ponies. Yeah I know, american cartoon at an anime convention? Lots of people mix character cosplays for different kinds of convention, it’s all fun. Plus, who doesn’t want Fluttershy to get hugged by Vegeta?
Now, this adventure begins with “WHOM DO I COSPLAY?” and it was decided I should be Pinky Pie. (mwahaha)
To get an idea of what people see in Pinky, I looked at other cosplays, aaaand what I got was lots of pink, sky blue with some pastel yellow. We decided as a group to all wear a dress/skirt, so I went with that and got a pink skirt. Shirts were a little hard ‘cause I sorta wanted something poofy verging on frilly, like a ballerina’s skirt, also pink. Then I found pink shoes blue leggings and some stripped yellow socks.
For accessories, I got the wig, a small blue belt, yellow (flower) earrings, blue sunglasses (it’s gonna be hot!), bows of the colour pink, yellow and blue, found a rubber band that reads “smile” and another that says “sweet”, my friends found me a cupcake pendant, and I shall paint my nails with the pink-blue-yellow theme. Pinky’s eyes are blue, so I went and got some coloured contacts at Clearly Contacts.
Now the hard part; giving this wig the crazy Pinky Pie look.
Weapons of choice: lots of bobby pins, hair curlers, water spray bottle, heat-resistant hair spray, hair fixative and a hair dryer.
Note: I’ve never done this before.
First, I brushie all the wig. Not that hard if you take your time and work by sections. Then I separate the hair sections with bobbypins, so the hair from one section doesn’t mix with another.
After all is untangled and pretty, I use the curlers. After they’re all rolled up randomly, I sprayed a bit of water to moisten the hair, then applied the heat-resistant hair spray and let it set for a bit.
With the hair dryer, I put it on low heat and applied some heat to each curler, but not too long because I don’t want the synthetic hair to melt.

Oh yeah, I didn’t have a mannequin’s head, so I used my lamp, haha. xD
After leaving them alone overnight, I uncurled each curler, placed the hair as best as I could and SPRAYED THE SHIT OUT OF IT with fixative. Outside the house, or else I would’ve choked.
{The end product: to be shown when I get back from the convention}
